Sinter System Inc., a Delaware corporation, provides the Sinter website, quoting API, agent tools, and manufacturing service. By placing an order and accepting these Terms at checkout, you agree to them.

1. Accounts and agents
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account and delivery information. If you act for a company, you must have authority to bind it. Keep your account and API credentials secure. You are responsible for instructions submitted through your account and authorized agents. Revoke compromised keys from your account. We may suspend access for misuse, fraud, or violations of these Terms.
2. Your files
You retain ownership of your designs. You confirm that you have the rights needed for us to manufacture them. You authorize us and our service providers to store, analyze, repair, orient, slice, print, inspect, and deliver your files solely to provide and support the service. Automated repairs may close gaps or correct mesh defects. Designs that cannot be repaired confidently are sent for engineering review. Review the displayed model, dimensions, material, quantity, and quote before payment. We treat your files as confidential and do not sell them or manufacture them for other customers.
3. Automated analysis and privacy
We may send numerical measurements of manufacturing candidates to OpenRouter and its model providers to help choose a manufacturing approach. This does not include your model file, filename, or identity. Automated feedback does not certify fitness for your application. Our Privacy Policy explains service providers, storage, and retention, including backups.
4. Parts we may refuse
We may refuse illegal, infringing, counterfeit, hazardous, or weapon-related parts, including firearm frames, receivers, and suppressors. Parts intended for medical, life-support, aviation, or other safety-critical use require our prior written agreement. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and evaluating your design. If we refuse a paid order, we refund the unfulfilled order.
5. Quotes and payment
An estimate or engineering request is not a payable quote until we issue it. Engineering reviews are completed the same business day for requests sent by 6 PM Pacific, otherwise the next business day. A quote is valid until its displayed expiry and for the displayed file, material, quantity, and settings. Prices are in US dollars. Delivery and applicable tax are shown before payment. Every customer order is paid in full by card through Stripe before production; we do not offer invoice or pay-later purchasing through the service. An order is formed when payment succeeds and we accept it. A paid, accepted price does not increase because our production costs change. Saved-card purchasing by agents is not offered.
6. Ship dates and delivery
Ship dates are business days, Monday to Friday, in Pacific time (America/Los_Angeles); parts ready after 6 PM Pacific ship the next business day. The Default lead time uses priority production and includes any material lead time: PLA+ and PETG in black or white ship without material lead time; other materials and colours add one day. Economy ships seven calendar days after the quoted Default date. Availability is checked before payment; if the date changes, you must confirm the new date. The Economy queue may be full even when Default is available. Some orders need an engineering plan before the ship date is confirmed. A ship date is when parts leave our facility, not a carrier arrival date. Carrier estimates are separate. Contact us about lost or damaged shipments so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy.
7. Late-shipment credits
If an order first ships more than one full business day after its promised ship date, we refund 10% of the price paid for its parts, plus the corresponding tax. Delivery charges are excluded. The credit goes back to the original payment method. Carrier delays after timely shipment do not trigger this ship-date credit. This is the contractual remedy for late shipment, without limiting rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Cancellation and changes
Once you pay for a quote, the order is committed: it can't be cancelled through the service and isn't refundable on request; we refund only as these Terms describe. If we can't fulfill your order, or we decline it, we refund the payment in full, including delivery and tax. Partial cancellations are not available. You may cancel an unpaid quote or engineering request at any time. To change an unpaid quote, use its editing controls. To change a paid order, contact [email protected]; edits to paid orders are not offered through the service.
9. Quality and remedies
FDM parts normally show layer lines, seams, support marks, and minor color differences between batches. A tolerance applies only if stated in your accepted quote. You are responsible for testing whether parts suit your application. We do not certify mechanical performance, temperature resistance, food safety, medical use, or other regulatory suitability. Report a manufacturing defect to [email protected] within seven days of delivery, with the order ID and photos. If confirmed, we will reprint the affected parts or refund their price. Design flaws, wrong units, and limitations you approved are not manufacturing defects. Failed production prints are reprinted at our expense; we will notify you if the ship date changes. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Except for the express commitments in these Terms and rights that cannot be excluded by law, the service and parts are provided as is, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Sinter is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost profits or production time. Liability relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order; liability for other claims is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us during the preceding twelve months. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be excluded for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
11. Claims involving your designs
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify Sinter against third-party claims arising from infringement by your supplied designs, your unlawful use of the parts, or your material breach of these Terms. We will promptly notify you of a claim and cooperate in its defense. No settlement may impose an admission or nonmonetary obligation on the other party without its consent.
12. Disputes
California law governs these Terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Courts in San Francisco County, California have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a right to bring a claim elsewhere. These Terms do not impose arbitration or a class-action waiver.
13. Changes and general provisions
We may update these Terms for future orders by posting a revised effective date and notifying account holders of material changes. Terms for an accepted order remain those in effect when it was placed unless we both agree otherwise. We may change or suspend service features, with reasonable notice where practical. These Terms and your accepted quote are the agreement for the order; quote-specific commitments control if they conflict. Purchase-order terms apply only if we agree in writing. An unenforceable provision does not invalidate the rest. Neither party is responsible for events beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable law and the express refund and credit commitments above.
